Dave Guthrie, a retired research chemist, and Betty, a travel agent, moved to The Garlands after living in St. Louis County for over 50 years. Initially attracted by the opportunity to be closer to their daughter and grandkids, they were struck by the casual elegance and “five star” quality of The Garlands. Now that they are settled, they’ve found the company of their new neighbors to be an added delight.
“There is such a diversity of people who live here, each with interesting lives and experiences to share,” says Betty. “We feel like we picked up socially right where we left off.”
Proud Scots, the Guthrie clan’s motto is “Sto pro veritate,” translated “I stand for truth.” And the simple truth is, they love their new home at The Garlands.
