Meet Bernie LaRocque

Bernie LaRocque and an industrious group of Garlands seamstresses and needle-workers are making the world a better place, one stitch at a time. The ladies volunteer their time and talent for a local organization called Preserving Human Dignity that supports single moms or mothers with financial difficulties. Their hand-made booties, bibs, receiving blankets, sweater sets and teddy bears are stitched with love and presented at an annual, celebratory afternoon tea and “baby shower.”
