Cooped up by COVID no longer, Garlands members are cautiously and optimistically traveling to destinations known (and unknown) and enjoying the convenience of a pre-planned itinerary, the luxury of furnished transportation, and the company of friends.
Fasten your seatbelts – The Garlands Travel Club is hitting the road!
Their first stop was The Windy City via a coach bus for a narrated tour of Chicago’s history. They stood on the spot where Mrs. O’Leary’s now-exonerated cow did not start the great Chicago fire. Afterward, the group enjoyed a delicious and hearty lunch at the quintessential Chicago Manny’s Cafeteria and Delicatessen.
Upon returning to The Garlands, Travel Club members barely had time to pack their bags before hopping aboard the next luxury cruiser to explore “Europe without a Passport,” a three-day tour of the picturesque driftless regions of southwest Wisconsin and northwest Illinois.
This fall, they were back on the chartered coach and off to enjoy the wonders of their own backyard again with a Chicago Architecture River cruise. And now, Garlands Travel Club members are busy planning 2022 itineraries with every intention of enjoying the journey and the destination!
