Feminine Footsteps
Historian, lecturer, writer and producer Carolyn Armenta Davis salutes 16 trailblazing women of African ancestry who forged footprints in the fields of politics, music, the Navy, sports, journalism, government, architecture, religion and more from the 40s to the 70s. A renowned diaspora intellectual activist, Carolyn has presented her work globally and continues to serve on many panels, including at the United Nations. The original Feminine Footprints radio series spotlighted 65 historic African-American women in mini-profiles, aired nationwide on 91 stations, and earned her an “American Women in Radio and Television” citation.
